Privacy — Gripwake

Summary

The current Gripwake game is designed to work without an account or always-on connection. The current test build does not include advertising, behavioral analytics, or tracking SDKs, and it does not send saved gameplay data to the Gripwake project.

Accounts: None in the current game or on this website.
Advertising: None.
Analytics: No product analytics or behavioral tracking operated by Gripwake.
Game saves: Stored locally in the app's device storage.
Website forms: None. This site does not accept submissions.

Game data

Gripwake stores the information needed to continue the game locally. This can include the pilot and ship names you choose, progression, discoveries, inventory, settings, achievements, and the state of an active expedition.

The current build does not require real-world identity information.
Local save data remains inside the app's storage unless the operating system, installation method, or a future feature moves it.
Deleting the app, clearing its storage, or using the in-game erase function may permanently remove local progress.
Gripwake does not currently operate a server that receives or restores this save data.

Website data

Gripwake does not use this website to create profiles, run advertising, measure individual behavior, or collect messages. The site does not intentionally set analytics or advertising cookies.

Like nearly every hosted website, the hosting and delivery provider may automatically process standard network information—such as an IP address, browser and device details, requested pages, timestamps, and security signals—to deliver the site, prevent abuse, and maintain service reliability. Gripwake does not use that infrastructure data to build advertising profiles.

The intended hosting provider is Cloudflare. Its handling of infrastructure data is governed by Cloudflare's privacy policy.

Build distribution and platform services

Private test builds may be obtained through services operated by other companies, such as Apple, AltStore, or a release host. Those providers may process account, device, download, diagnostic, or transaction information under their own terms. Gripwake does not control their independent data practices.

Before using a distribution service, review the provider's policy and the permissions shown on your device. Never send Apple account credentials to a playtest coordinator or to an address that merely resembles the Gripwake name.

Planned features are not active promises

Not active in the current privacy posture: native iCloud saves and a paid supporter cosmetic pack are planned, but are not guaranteed or represented here as shipped features.

If iCloud saving is enabled, save data would be handled through the player's Apple account and Apple's iCloud services. If an optional cosmetic purchase is enabled, Apple would process the purchase. This notice and the in-game disclosures will be updated before either feature is publicly enabled.

Any future account system, multiplayer feature, analytics tool, advertising system, or new online service would require a fresh privacy review and an updated notice.

Your choices

You can play the current game without creating a Gripwake account.
You can stop using the website without needing to close an account or unsubscribe.
You can erase local game progress using the in-game reset control or by removing app data, subject to the behavior of your device and installation method.
You can avoid sharing optional screenshots or feedback. If you do share a report through a tester, remove personal or sensitive information first.

Because Gripwake does not currently receive game saves or website form submissions, it generally has no player profile to access, correct, export, or delete.
